LYON COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports the intersection of U.S. 62 and U.S. 641 in Lyon County has reopened. On Friday, Harrisburg girls’ basketball star Jamisen Green received an offer to play for John A. Logan College. The 5’10 guard had a fantastic sophomore season for the Lady Bulldogs, averaging 16.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and averaged 85% at the free throw line. She shot 58% from the field.

Born in 1927, Garcia “Pat” Patton grew up in central Illinois. He worked in Chicago and served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Korean Conflict. He resided in Middletown, Ohio for most of his life, where he worked first at Aeronca Aircraft and then for the City of Middletown. He wed Thelma Dickerson in 1956.

Shawn Gregory Colman, 61, of Louisville, Illinois passed away at 11:30 pm, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Marion, Kentucky. Shawn was born on February 1, 1963, in Centralia, Illinois the son of John and Carolyn (Fogler) Colman. A proud graduate of North Clay High School in Louisville, Shawn’s education laid the groundwork for what would become a lifelong journey of hard work and dedication. Shawn married Christina Feldhake on September 10, 2004, in Louisville, Illinois and they shared 20 years of marriage. He took to the highways as an over-the-road truck driver for Ed Lewis Trucking, based in his hometown of Louisville, Illinois.

The Princeton Rotary Club Golf Scramble on June 7 had their most successful year, raising over $17,000, according to Rotary Club Treasurer Pam Brunelle. “We had 61 holes with sponsors and twenty teams,” Brunelle said during the Rotary Club’s weekly meeting on June 11. “We made a grand total before expenses of $19,990 dollars.
