Demolition underway at Bridge Street
The former home of Stephen Charles Law Office and the original site of the Clay Health Department is being demolished to make way for the renovation of what will be known as Jockey Street. The hand-cut stone from the building will be used on the new Manchester Distilling Company building to be constructed at the site of the old Manchester Dry Goods building.

Christine “Chris” Thurby Farmer
Christine “Chris” Thurby Farmer, 87, of Nebo, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN. She was born on July 11, 1936, in Henderson, KY, to the late Christine Love Gish Thurby and Thomas Howton Thurby. She was formerly employed as a waitress at Busler Truck Stop. She loved working word find puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her animals. Chris was a member of the Church of God.

Charles Alan Holt, 72, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, July 9, at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. Visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, July 11, at Morgan’s Funeral Home from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12, at Morgan’s Funeral Home at 1 pm with Bro. Duane Burden officiating. Burial will follow in Asher Cemetery in Caldwell County.
15-month-old killed in Princeton motorcycle crash
A single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Princeton resulted in the death of a 15-month-old child Friday. According to the Princeton Police Department, the crash occurred in the 300 block of Beverly Lane around 6:45 p.m. Friday. Investigation determined that a motorcycle was being driven by 47-year-old Jospeh Traylor of Princeton, who reportedly had a 15-month-old on the motorcycle with him at the time of the crash.
