Ricky L. Andrews, 71, of Diamond, KY passed away on Friday June 21, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. Ricky was born on Aug. 7, 1952, in Providence, KY, the son of the late Mr. Wilson Dowe Andrews and Mrs. Madalyn Paris Andrews. He is preceded in death by his two brothers-in-law, Jamie Pendergraff and Johnnie Robinson.

Saline County Sheriff’s Office Explains Why Information Regarding Warrant Arrest Wasn’t Released to Public
HARRISBURG – The Saline County Sheriff’s Office has released information into their attempt to serve an out of state warrant on a man in the Carrier Mills area this week. According to information from the Sheriff’s Office at Saline County Facebook page, when the sheriff’s office attempted to serve the warrant Wednesday, the man fled on foot and was not able to be found.

Indictments handed down in April case of drugs, stolen truck
A Marion man has been indicted on drug and other charges stemming from an April traffic stop in Lyon County. The Lyon County Grand Jury handed down the indictments against 33-year-old Jacob R. Walker of Marion, after he and his passenger, 35-year-old Mika R. Kitrel of Metropolis, were stopped driving an allegedly stolen truck.

An indictment from the Caldwell County Grand Jury alleges a former employee of the Public Defender's Office submitted false travel vouchers and took the money. A grand jury accused Jacqualine Nichole White of Princeton of submitting 59 false travel vouchers over eight months and taking over $7,000 in fraudulent payments.

U.S. 60 reopened after deadly semi crash in Crittenden County, KY
CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man died in a tractor-trailer crash late Wednesday night in Crittenden County. Shawn G. Colman, 61, of Louisville was driving a 2025 Kenworth tractor-trailer eastbound on US 60 (Sturgis Road) at the east edge of Marion, Ky. when his vehicle left the right should of the road, struck a power pole and overturned, according to Kentucky State Police.

Illinois man killed in semi crash in Crittenden County
A semi crash along US 60 in Crittenden County claimed the life of an Illinois man. Kentucky State Police said that the crash occurred at about 11 p.m. near the Rush Creek Bridge at the Marion eastern city limit. Troopers said 61-year-old Shawn G. Colman of Clay County, Illinois was driving a tractor-trailer when the truck struck a utility pole and overturned. The Crittenden County Coroner pronounced Colman dead at the scene.
