At least seven people shot, injured across Syracuse during violent weekend
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — At least seven people were injured from shootings across Syracuse during Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21. According to releases from Syracuse Police Department there were shootings on Sabine Street, Stone Court, Bradley Street and on Daisy Street throughout the weekend, two each on both Saturday and Sunday.
Syracuse Orange Football: Player Development Should Come First
Not since the days of Paul Pasqualoni has the Syracuse Orange had a coach with a winning record. From Greg Robinson (.213) to Doug Marrone (.500), to Scott Schaffer (.378), to Dino Babers (.476) no coach has proved they can turn Syracuse into a consistent competitor. The Orange have found it tough to find a coach whose tenure lasts more than ~3.5 years and this season they’ll be starting over with new head coach Fran Brown.

There’s no debating who will be under center for SU’s first matchup of the year on August 31st against Ohio, that will be Ohio State transfer Kyle McCord barring injury. Behind him though, things get a lot more interesting for who will be the second guy called off the bench if needed. Last season, it was Carlos Del Rio-Wilson, who when called upon didn’t give Orange fans any hope for the future. But a new face has entered the room who can compete for that spot. Galactic Storm (Truman Gale) led to the quarter in :28.1. Rock Solid Express (John MacDonald) took control heading down the backstretch and was first to the half in :57.4. Northern Rein (Josh Kinney) was first to make a move going first-up heading around the final turn. Galactic Storm was first to three-quarters in 1:26.4.
