Volunteers needed for traveling Vietnam memorial coming to East Peoria
EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The city of East Peoria has shared information about a volunteer opportunity for those who want to help honor veterans in central Illinois. According to a news release from the city, volunteers are needed to help with the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, which will be returning to East Peoria from Sept. 25 to 30. The memorial wall is a 3/5- scale replica of the memorial wall in Washington D.C.

Peoria Police: Arrest made in mid-August shots fired incident
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A 26-year-old man could face charges later this week, after being arrested Tuesday in connection with a shots fired incident in mid-August. According to Peoria police, Quovideous A.V. Pierson was arrested and later booked into the Peoria County Jail on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and for having no FOID card in connection with the Aug. 18 incident.
