RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson has been treated for burns, his campaign confirmed.

Robinson, the Republican nominee for North Carolina governor, was hospitalized following the burn incident at an event at Mount Airy on Friday, according to his campaign.

Mike Lonegran, the communications director for Robinson’s campaign, issued the following statement:

“This evening following an incident at a campaign appearance at the Mayberry Truck Show in Mount Airy, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson was treated at Northern Regional Hospital for second-degree burns. He is in good spirits, appreciates the outpouring of well wishes, and is excited to return to the campaign trail as scheduled first thing tomorrow morning.”

During a campaign appearance in Davie County the following day, Robinson explained his burn came from accidentally touching the exhaust pipe of a tractor-trailer at the truck show Friday.

Robinson said he was balancing climbing down from the truck without falling on supporters who gathered around him when he reached out to grab the pipe for support. A small bandage was seen on Robinson’s left hand during the event as he made light of the incident.

Is the government ready to support another child? . If the women aren’t able to take of the child what will happen to the child? No I don’t believe in abortion, but it may be for the best if a woman cannot take care of a child financially.
