PHOTOS: NC community in ruin after devestation of Hurricane Helene

OLD FORT, N.C. (WNCN) — A CBS 17 crew is on the ground in western North Carolina after the devastation Helene brought over a week ago.

Photos taken in the town of Old Fort show homes torn to pieces and remnants from others that were washed away in the hurricane’s torrential bouts of rain. Many homes hit hard were located on Mill Creek Road.
