GADSDEN, Ala. ( WIAT ) – Jimmy Buffett may be gone, but he is not forgotten. You can enjoy an early summer night out in Gadsden on Saturday that’s filled with live music from A1A, the official tribute band, as part of the city’s Parrothead Party.

Michael Rodgers, the public affairs coordinator for Gadsden, joined the CBS 42 Morning News Saturday to talk about the event. It’s happening at The AMP.

“We call it The AMP, not just because that’s short for amphitheater, but because it stands for Always Music Playing,” Rodgers said. “That’s one of the goals – this is a beautiful riverfront facility, it’s historic and we’ve tried to keep music going there to bring people to Gadsden and see all the great stuff we’ve got going on.”

Tickets are still on sale, and you can buy them here .

Rodgers said if you miss Saturday night’s concert, don’t worry, the Summer Concert Series will be happening again every first Friday of the month where Gadsden shuts down Broad St.
