Birmingham Barons to host boys and girls youth clinic in June

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Birmingham Barons baseball team is collaborating with other local organizations to host a youth clinic this June.

The Playball Youth Clinic for Inner City will take place June 15 at Regions Field from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for boys and girls ages six to thirteen. The event will teach baseball skills, drills and character development.

Guest clinicians will include the Major League Baseball Hall of Famer and two-time World Series winner George Arthur Foster and the Barons team. To register for the event, call 205-322-2644. Spots are limited.

The event is sponsored by the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Organization, Birmingham Barons, Coca-Cola, More Than Conquerors Faith Church and Men of Issachar.
