A cold front on Friday will bring us lower humidity and cool mornings this weekend

Friday : A stronger dry cold front will move across Alabama on Friday. The humidity will be dropping throughout the day. High temperatures will be in the lower 90s, and the heat index will be around 95-100°.

Weekend Outlook : We will have much more comfortable humidity levels all weekend with plenty of sunshine on Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will still be hot in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Sunday morning will be cooler with lows in the middle to upper 60s.

Next Week Outlook : Monday morning will start cool, but it will be a mostly sunny and hot afternoon with highs in the lower 90s. An upper-level area of high pressure, a heat dome, will be over the Southern Plains States. This will build east into Alabama Tuesday through Friday, and we will become hotter. The old cold front will move north as a warm front bringing back the muggy air on Tuesday. We will be partly cloudy, hot, and humid with a daily chance for some showers Tuesday through Friday. We will have to watch out for some clusters of strong storms (MCSs) due to NE Flow aloft over Central Alabama. High temperatures will be in the middle 90s, and the heat index of 100-105.

Tracking the Tropics : Remnants of Debby continue to move across the Mid-Atlantic to New England States with flooding rains. A Tropical Wave in the Atlantic could develop into a tropical depression or storm over the next 7 days as it approaches the Lesser and Greater Antilles. No tropical impacts to Alabama in the next 7 days.
