    Alabama woman killed in Hummer H2 crash

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A 57-year-old woman was killed in a crash involving a Hummer H2 in Montgomery County on Friday, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.

    The crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Old Selma Road near Cantelou Road about two miles west of Montgomery. Elizabeth Mitchell, of Lowndesboro, was fatally injured when the Hummer H2 she was driving left the road, hit a sign, reentered the road and overturned.

    Mitchell, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the Hummer H2 and pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers with the ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
