Man found shot to death in front of Center Point home identified

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A man was found shot to death in front of a Center Point home Wednesday morning.

Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were called out to a home on the 1600 block of 1st Street NE in Center Point around 6:19 a.m. on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies found 34-year-old Miguel De Jesus Ramirez shot in the front yard of the home.

Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene. Details in the shooting remain limited at this time.
