Jacquelyn’s Jewels fundraising event happening Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A jazz concert benefiting a Birmingham alternative school is happening Friday night.

Actress and philanthropist LisaRaye McCoy will host Jacquelyn’s Jewels at UAB’s Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, which starts at 7 p.m.

Honoring law legend the honorable U. W. Clemon and Dr. Marquita Davis, this concert will benefit the Maranathan Academy, a nonprofit alternative school for critically at-risk youth and adult students.
