3-year-old boy drowns in Vestavia Hills

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Vestavia Hills Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 3-year-old boy who drowned Thursday.

Luke Brown, of Vestavia Hills, was found by family unresponsive in a small lake at the rear of the family residential property in the 500 block of Lake Colony Drive. He was transported to Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Vestavia police will continue to investigate.
