Speed dating events planned in Hoover and Vestavia Hills

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A speed dating organization has several events planned for the greater Birmingham area starting next week and lasting until October.

The Pre-Dating Speed Dating company will host nine different events with participant’s ages ranging from 20 to 69 depending on the night itself. Click here to browse the event schedules and purchase tickets.

Organizers recommend attendees dress casually in “after-work happy hour” attire but advise against shorts or flip-flops. Once arriving at the location, participants are greeted by the event host to be checked in and given a name stage, match sheet and pen.

Participants will speak to up to a dozen singles of the opposite gender in a series of six-minute pre-dates. Those interested in someone can circle their name on the sheet, which will be given to the host. Within 24 hours, mutual matches will be emailed their pair’s email address to chat further. Phone numbers are not exchanged to attendees by organizers.
