    A break in the humidity and cool mornings are on tap this week

    Tuesday : An area of high pressure will sit north of Alabama, sending dry northerly winds across the state. We will be mostly sunny, less humid, and dry. High temperatures will be a tad cooler with highs in the upper 80s. Tuesday night will be clear and cooler. Lows will range from the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

    Wednesday: Lower humidity continues with more sunshine as the area of high pressure sits over the Ohio Valley. It will be warm with high temperatures in the upper 80s.

    Thursday: An upper-level wave will move west from Georgia into Alabama on Thursday. This upper wave will be moisture-starved, but there may be just enough moisture to support a couple of isolated showers and storms. It will be a little more humid as easterly winds return. High temperatures will be around 90.

    Friday: Partly cloudy and hotter. Staying dry with a slight drop in dewpoints. High temperatures will be around 90. The weather will be muggy, but dry for the first week of high school football.

    Weekend Outlook : The area of high pressure will be northeast of Alabama, bringing back southerly winds to the state. Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy, hot, and more humid. High temperatures will climb into the lower 90s each day.
