Thursday : An upper-level low will move west from Georgia into Alabama on Thursday. This will make it partly cloudy, and we could see stray showers. It will be a little more humid as easterly winds return. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s.

Friday will be mostly sunny, hot, and drier with some less humid air. High temperatures will be around 90.

Friday Night Football : The weather will be great for the first week of high school football. Kickoff temperatures will be around 80, and they will fall to the lower 70s by the end of the game.

Weekend Outlook : The area of high pressure will be northeast of Alabama, bringing back southerly winds to the state. Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy, hot, and more humid. However, it is not as humid as we typically see in late August. High temperatures will climb into the lower to middle 90s each day.

Next Week’s Outlook : A head dome will set up over the middle of the U.S. This will help to heat things back up again for Alabama. We will be dry with relatively low humidity levels and high temperatures in the upper 90s.
