Thursday: The high pressure will move northeast of Alabama on Thursday, bringing back southeast winds. That will keep us humid and bring in spotty showers. High temperatures will still be in the middle to upper 90s, and the heat index will be between 100-105+.

Friday: On Friday, the area of high pressure will continue to move east and weaken. This will allow a cold front to move toward Alabama from the north, and an upper-level wave to move across the SE U.S. It will be partly cloudy, hot, and more humid with scattered showers and storms popping up in the afternoon and evening. This will be welcome rain to the region. High temperatures will be in the middle 90s, and the heat index will be close to 105. It will be warm and muggy for the high school football games.

Football Forecasts : It will be warm and humid for the UAB and Jacksonville State games on Thursday at 7 PM. There could be a few lingering showers in Jacksonville an Birmingham for kickoff.
