Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to host annual ‘Light the Night’ walk Oct. 10

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual “Light The Night” will take place at Birmingham’s Railroad Park next month.

Friends, families and sponsors will bring light to blood cancers on Oct. 10, rain or shine. The festivities will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., coinciding with the event’s opening ceremony and one-mile lantern walk at 7 p.m.

Funds raised during the event will go towards lifesaving research, advocacy and support for blood cancer patients and their families. Food will be available for purchase on-site. Additionally, a virtual experience is planned for Nov. 19.
