    Shelby County Sheriff’s Office asking for help finding missing teenager

    SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday it is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing 17-year-old girl.

    Jamya Braxton was reported missing Tuesday. She was reportedly last seen around the 500 block of Massey Road, though her direction of travel is unknown.

    Braxton was last observed wearing a light gray t-shirt with Mickey Mouse characters on it and blue “Dr. Who” pants. She also had a bonnet on with a cheetah print and a black back around it.

    Braxton goes by the names of “Juicy” or “Juice.” She stands at around 5-foot-2 or 3.

    Those with information on Braxton’s whereabouts are urged to call the SCSO at 205-670-6000 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
