Week 2 Alabama high school football schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Week 2 of high school football kicks off Thursday after an electric Week 1 which featured one of the biggest stories with Spain Park taking down Hoover for the first time since 2015.

The AHSAA Game of the Week is a 6A Region 2 matchup between Percy Julian (1-1) and Stanhope Elmore (1-1) Thursday. After losing at home to Spain Park, the Hoover Buccaneers (1-1) look to bounce back on the road against Hillcrest (2-0). After playing two out of state teams to start the season, Thompson (1-1) begins region play on the road against Tuscaloosa County (0-2).
