Francine will track north across Louisiana on Thursday. Alabama will be on the right side, or the wet side of the storm. We will have bands of heavy rain move across Central Alabama throughout the day.

The heaviest rain will be along and west of I-65 where 2-4″ of rain is possible. Some minor flooding is possible. It will be breezy with winds of 15-25 mph and gusts to 30 mph at times. There is also a low-end threat of a tropical tornado over Western Alabama. The rain will keep high temperatures only in the 70s.

Francine will track north of Memphis on Thursday and Friday, stall, and weaken. Feeder bands will continue to spiral into the center of the system throughout the day over Alabama. Some downpours are possible, but the heaviest rain will end. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, breezy, warmer, and humid with highs around 80.

Weekend Outlook : Francine’s remnants will stay stalled north of Memphis this weekend. This will keep Central Alabama partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and a few storms each day. It will be warm and humid with highs in the lower to middle 80s.
