    2 killed in Walker County crash involving tractor-trailer

    WALKER COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) –A crash involving a tractor-trailer in Walker County killed two people Monday afternoon, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.

    Charles Calloway, a 79-year-old from Jasper, was fatally injured when a tractor-trailer hit the Chevrolet Equinox he was driving. The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Arkadelphia Road near Alabama 69.

    3-year-old killed in Birmingham crash

    Calloway was pronounced dead at the scene. Jasper resident Delores Burgess, 85, was a passenger in the Equinox. Burgess also died at the scene.

    Troopers with the ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
