    1 dead following crash involving Tuscaloosa County System bus

    TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — One person was killed following a crash involving a school bus Wednesday, according to the Tuscaloosa Sheriff’s Office.

    Tuscaloosa County School System released the following statement Wednesday:

    “We want to update you on a situation involving one of our school buses this morning. Bus 101 was involved in a traffic accident this morning. Sipsey Valley Middle and High students were on board the bus at the time. All students were able to be transferred to another bus and taken to their schools. Nurses and emergency medical personnel were on site to evaluate students once they arrived. Counselors are also available for any students who need support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your school administrator.”
