3 injured in Tuscaloosa shooting

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that left three people injured Sunday.

According to TVCU Cpt. Jack Kennedy, the Tuscaloosa Police Department was called around 4 a.m. to the 800 block of University Lane, where officers found two individuals who had been shot. Both are being treated in a hospital for critical injuries.

A third victim who suffered not life-threatening injuries transported himself to a hospital. The shooting occurred at a large party and was witnessed by different people.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any relevant information on the case is urged to call the TVCU at 205-464-8690 or the TPD at 205-349-2121.
