    2 injured in Jefferson County shooting

    JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left two people injured Sunday morning.

    According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 4000 block of McClendon Chapel Road at around 5:08 a.m., where they found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to UAB Hospital for treatment.

    Preliminary investigation revealed that the two individuals were involved in a verbal altercation that led to them shooting each other.
