3rd annual Magic City Harvest Tailgate Fundraiser set for Sept. 27

HOMEWOOD, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The third annual Magic City Harvest Tailgate Fundraiser to help combat hunger is scheduled to occur Sept. 27.

According to Magic City Harvest, a nonprofit food recovery program, serves over 30 feeding agencies in Birmingham. It gives 1,800 meals a day and provides free access to healthy food for agencies that need it for free. In 2023, Magic City Harvest supplied over 1.2 million servings of food.

Fundraiser participants can buy a family pack of food for $80 from Little Donkey, Rodney Scott’s BBB or Tasty Town. A silent auction will be held. Proceeds from the event will help feed those in Birmingham suffering from hunger.

The event will take place at Little Donkey in Homewood from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 27. To buy tickets and for more information, click here .
