Fatal shooting critically injured 2nd victim in west Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Birmingham Police Department learned a second person was injured during a shooting on Wednesday that left a man dead.

According to a press release, detectives learned an additional victim was shot in the 1700 Block of Laurel Avenue SW. They were transported to UAB Hospital by private vehicle with life-threatening injuries.

BPD also revealed the victim pronounced dead at the scene was an adult male. No one is in custody in connection to this case.

The Jefferson County Coroner confirmed the fatal victim is 26-year-old Isiah Tyson Anthony.
