Man killed in Birmingham shooting identified

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A man who was killed in a shooting Sunday night was identified Monday morning.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirms Jamarcus McIntyre, 32, was killed during a reported assault around 9:19 p.m. in the 700 block of 81st Place South. He was transported to UAB Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Birmingham police are investigating the shooting.
