    Man shot, killed after argument in Birmingham’s West End identified

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Police are investigating a second fatal shooting in Birmingham Tuesday night.

    According to public information officer Truman Fitzgerald, a ShotSpotter alert was issued in the 300 block of 27th Street Southwest at around 8:20 p.m.

    Officers arrived and found an adult male who was shot and unresponsive in the area. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced him dead at the scene.

    The preliminary investigation revealed an argument took place between the victim and suspect, which led to shots being fired.

    The victim was later identified as 34-year-old Damone Gardner.

    Earlier Tuesday evening, a man was shot and killed at a convenience store on Pearson Avenue Southwest. Fitzgerald stated detectives are investigating if the two shootings are possibly connected.

    Those with information on the case are urged to call BPD at 205-254-1764 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.

    Instead of bringing national guard on some shoot at will shat, stop putting money in the pockets of those who should not get it, stop taking bribes to add to your pockets, open up consistent sustainable programs, good jobs Massachusetts minimum wage is $16-17 an he Alabama needs to up their minimum wage. Get people jobs other than fast food and Walmart🤬🤬🤬🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
