BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Birmingham police are investigating after shots were fired at a Wavaho gas station Wednesday morning.

According to officer Truman Fitzgerald, a woman and another person were at the gas station on 9917 Parkway East when a male suspect shot at them. The woman, who was grazed by the shots, fled to a nearby Captain D’s for help.

Proposed legislation aims to make ‘Glock switch’ possession a felony in Alabama

Investigators believe the suspect intended to shoot the person the woman was with and not the woman who was grazed. There is no one in custody.

No further information has been released at this time. Those with information on the case are urged to call the Birmingham Police Department at 205-297-8413 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.

I certainly hope our leaders get this crime under control, or else Birmingham will become a Ghost Town.
