    Rajah Caruth helping launch program to teach kids about STEM programs in NASCAR

    KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A NASCAR driver wants to get more children involve din science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM careers.

    He’s partnering up with corporations to launch a program that’ll teach kids about STEM opportunities in NASCAR.

    NASCAR driver Rajah Caruth is turning his love for speed into a teaching opportunity ahead of this weekend’s race at Kansas Speedway.

    Caruth competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

    “How STEM leads to speed: Racing with Rajah” is a program for middle and high school students focusing on science, tech, engineering and math education.

    Caruth is partnering up with GM Motorsports and Microsoft to launch the curriculum.

    Getting students on track for a STEM career.

    The Craftsman Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway will take place Friday at 7:30 p.m. after the ARCA Menards Series race at 4:30 p.m.

    The NASCAR Xfinity Series race will take place Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and air on The CW.

    The NASCAR Cup Series race will end the weekend with the Hollywood Casino 400 on Sunday at 2 p.m.
