    Cooper Green making changes to help patients save on prescription drugs

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Cooper Green Mercy Health made a change that will help patients save money on their prescription drugs, according to UAB.

    Donate to help Red Cross efforts across 10 states

    Effective Tuesday, Cooper Green will no longer charge enrolled patients whose enrollment status qualifies them to be covered by the indigent care fund for generic prescription medication and additionally provide a reduction in brand name medication pricing. Those who recently enrolled can now find their health plan code printed on their issued cards.

    There are no restrictions to quantity of prescriptions covered. Cooper Green will refill prescriptions within one week of the patient’s running out of the medication. Anyone with questions can contact Cooper Green at 205-930-3777.
