Thursday: We start sunny but become partly cloudy as high pressure moves west to east just north of Alabama. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s. This will be good for the first day of the Greek Festival.

Friday: Tropical moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will stream north across Alabama ahead of an upper-level wave and a cold front. All of these features will make it mostly cloudy with spotty showers. Rainfall will be very light, if measurable at all where you live. High temperatures will be in the lower 80s.

Weekend Outlook : The trough of low pressure moving out of the NW Caribbean and into the Gulf of Mexico remains disorganized. There is a low chance for it to develop into a tropical system now. The latest forecast models show the cold front moving to South Alabama on Saturday and Sunday. This will keep anything in the Gulf away from Alabama. It brings heavy rain to Florida this weekend and early next week.

Central Alabama will be partly cloudy and warm on Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the lower to middle 80s.

Talladega : There will be some isolated showers around for the Craftsman Truck Love’s RV Stop 225 at 3:30 PM on Friday with temperatures in the low 80s, falling into the 70s by checkered flag. The weather will be great for the Saturday 3 PM Xfinity United Rentals 250 with a partly cloudy sky and temperatures in the 80s. Lastly, more great weather is expected for the Yellowood 500 at 1 PM on Sunday with more sunshine and warm temperatures in the 80s.
