Week 6 Alabama high school football schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — After the threat of Hurricane Helene forced some games to be canceled a week ago, a full slate of high school football games are back.

The CBS 42 Game of the Week will feature a 6A Region 5 showdown between the Gardendale Rockets (4-2) and the Homewood Patriots (5-1). The Patriots look to bounce back after a 27-22 loss to Mountain Brook, while the Rockets look to win its fourth straight game.

Dothan High School (2-3) looks to turn their season around and spark momentum, as they will host 5-1 Opelika. After a one-point loss in overtime to Clay-Chalkville last week, Thompson (4-2) looks to bounce back at home against Hewitt-Trussville (5-1).
