Athlete of the Week: ‘Dino’ Dylan Embry

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — 24 hours from now, we will be showing you some of the most dazzling plays in high school football, but there’s one young man turning a lot of heads this season.

CBS 42’s Athlete of the Week is Locust Fork Hornets quarterback “Dino” Dylan Embry. Five weeks into the season, Embry has the Hornets sitting at a perfect 5-0 heading into Friday’s game at Piedmont.

Embry has been a true dual-threat quarterback, and he is one of the top rushers in the state. He’s the leader in total yards at 1,917– that’s 543 passing and 1,364 yards rushing– and he’s only played in four of the five games this season.
