DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The ex-boyfriend of a Georgia mom accused of plotting to kill her estranged husband while on vacation spoke out for the first time in an exclusive television interview.

Terrance Adrian Bethel spoke Good Morning America’s Eva Pilgrim in an interview that was aired Thursday.

Bethel was charged in the murder-for-hire plot alongside Lindsay Shiver after police in the Bahamas claimed they found suspicious messages on WhatsApp between the two. They allegedly included photos of Shiver’s husband, Robert Shiver, along with the message “Kill him.”

Shiver was set to stand trial this month in the Bahamian capital of Nassau on a murder-for-hire charge. However, her trial date has been pushed to March 2025. It is currently unknown why Shiver’s trial has been moved a total of three times.

Also charged in the alleged murder-for-hire plot is Bethel’s friend, Faron Newbold Jr. The trio could face 30 and 60 years behind bars if convicted.

Shiver, whose maiden name is Shirly, was named Miss Houston County in 2005, according to Houston County Pagent Inc. She also placed second in the National Peanut Festival pageant.
