    Teen seriously injured during hit-and-run in Alabama

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — An investigation is underway after a teenager was left with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning.

    The Huntsville Police Department said officers have located the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run and the owner of the vehicle. Authorities are currently working to determine who was driving the vehicle at the time of the hit-and-run that left the teen seriously injured.

    Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc. spokesperson Don Webster said the crash happened around 6:46 a.m. along Weatherly Road SE and Cannstatt Drive SE. Webster said the male teenager was taken to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services.

    Huntsville police said the intersection of Weatherly Road SE and Cannstatt Drive SE closed for authorities to process the scene.

    it's a shame you can find out who hit a car but you can't find out who hit a person and run what is this world coming to how often do the police find the person that hit and run but they can stop a purse for talking on the cell phone but can't stop a person for hitting and running or is that just Alabama law that can't find the person that do that
