    Jacksonville State crushes New Mexico State 54-13

    JACKSONVILLE, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Jacksonville State crushed the New Mexico State Aggies at home Wednesday night in the “standalone” game, 54-13.

    The game was lopsided by halftime as the Gamecocks took a 33-6 lead into the break. Quarterback Tyler Huff led the way going 11-for-18 with 196 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Tre Stewart rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.

    Jacksonville State to play in ‘standalone game’ versus New Mexico State

    Six different Gamecocks scored Wednesday night including Brock Rechsteiner, the son of WWE hall of famer Scott Steiner. Rechsteiner scored on a five-yard touchdown reception which was his only reception of the night. He has eight catches for 151 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

    His father was a four-time world champion in wrestling and is the eighth WCW Triple Crown Champion. Steiner wrestled alongside his brother, Rick Rechsteiner, and the duo won several tag team titles.
