PACE, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A discrepancy in the voting process for the Homecoming Court at Pace High School resulted in a new queen being crowned.

While Santa Rosa County District Schools didn’t share much information, a spokesperson for the district told News 5, “Pace High School has confirmed there was a discrepancy in the voting process for Homecoming Court. After reviewing the voting process and votes cast, results were announced on Friday, October 11.”

The Pace High School homecoming game took place on Oct. 4, but after rain moved the homecoming court presentation inside, the school determined the court would have the opportunity to take the field Friday. When it took the field, a new queen was crowned.

The school district said the decision to have the court take the field was made before knowing there was any discrepancy in voting. The district could not provide any additional information.

Wonder what happened and who the first when crowned was. Hate wtv the first girl crowned must be going through, but at least it’s just a high school homecoming.
