2 firefighters injured after truck overturns in central Alabama

BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Two members of a volunteer fire and rescue team in Blount County are recovering after a serious wreck.

According to a Facebook post made by Summit Fire and Rescue, a crash overturned one of the agency’s firetrucks Tuesday evening. Two firefighters are being treated for serious injuries, but are expected to recover.

The rescue squad thanked Blountsville Fire & Rescue Department and Brooksville Fire & Rescue for their assistance on the scene.
