    Birmingham pedestrian struck, killed in Fairfield identified

    FAIRFIELD, Ala. ( WIAT ) โ€” A 73-year-old Birmingham man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Fairfield was identified Thursday morning.

    Carlee Russell pleads guilty to filing false police report in summertime kidnapping hoax

    According to the Jefferson County Coronerโ€™s Office, Cark Edward Taylor was walking across the 6600 block of Aaron Aronov Drive when he was struck by a car. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and called police.

    Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 9:15 p.m.

    Driver remained on the scene ! Thank you ! My car mcle ran over an old man 40 years ago coming home from work . H is a good man , he never forgets . He wish he could have done something different . He is a great father and husband . It wasnโ€™t his fault . Remained on the scene and that 6 foot 4 man cried and tried . God bless the family ! And the driver who didnโ€™t know ! He will have to live with it too !
