Birmingham pedestrian struck, killed in Fairfield identified

FAIRFIELD, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A 73-year-old Birmingham man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Fairfield was identified Thursday morning.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Cark Edward Taylor was walking across the 6600 block of Aaron Aronov Drive when he was struck by a car. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and called police.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 9:15 p.m.

Driver remained on the scene ! Thank you ! My car mcle ran over an old man 40 years ago coming home from work . H is a good man , he never forgets . He wish he could have done something different . He is a great father and husband . It wasn’t his fault . Remained on the scene and that 6 foot 4 man cried and tried . God bless the family ! And the driver who didn’t know ! He will have to live with it too !
