    Woman killed in Jefferson County house fire identified

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A woman who died in a Jefferson County house fire on October 15 was identified Thursday morning.

    According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 54-year-old Kimberly Lynn Brownlow died in the fire on Crumly Chapel Road.

    Forestdale Fire Chief Scott Mims said a call regarding the fire came in around 6:05 a.m., and Adamsville firefighters assisted in ending the fire, which took around an hour. Another person was in the house when the fire started, but they escaped safely.

    The Forestdale Fire District and Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.
