UPDATE: The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency canceled the Missing and Endangered Person Alert for Robert Simmons on Saturday.

ORIGINAL: Alabama authorities searching for missing 84-year-old man

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued a Missing and Endangered Person Alert for an 84-year-old man Saturday.

According to the ALEA, Robert Simmons was last seen around 5 p.m. Friday around County Road 8 in Gilbertown, which is in Choctaw County. Simmons may be suffering from a condition impairing his judgment.

Simmons stands at 5-foot-10, weighs around 250 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair. He drives a gray 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe with Alabama tag #15A0MYY.

Those with information on Simmons’ whereabouts are urged to call the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office at 205-459-2166 or 911.
