United Airlines Plans To Fire 593 Employees Who Did Not Get COVID-19 Vaccination By Deadline
CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago-based United Airlines plans to fire nearly 600 workers who didn’t get their COVID-19 vaccination shots by the deadline Tuesday. In a memo to staff, United Airlines Chief Executive Officer J. Scott Kirby, and President Brett Hart noted that more than 99 percent of U.S.-based United employees have chosen to get vaccinated – excluding those who submitted for a religions or medical exemption.
