Denver weather: Beautiful weather for the Rocky Mountain Showdown 02:26

The Rocky Mountain Showdown rivalry game between Colorado State and Colorado will get underway in Fort Collins at Canvas Stadium tonight at 5:30. Weather conditions will be sunny and warm with temperatures in the upper 80s. By halftime, a few clouds will push in with temperatures falling to the mid-80s with winds out of the southeast 5-10 mph. By the fourth quarter, it will stay mild in the 70s with wind gusts up to 15 mph.

Fall colors will start to peak by mid-September north of I-70. The best place to check out the leaves this weekend will be in the places like Rocky Mountain National Park and Steamboat.  Farther south, you'll have to wait until October for peak colors.
