Westminster police ask for help identifying indecent exposure suspect
Police in Westminster are asking for help in identifying a suspect wanted in a series of indecent exposure incidents. Investigators said on three separate occasions, the man was seen in the greenbelt-park area near 129th and Harmony Parkway. According to detectives, the man was exposing himself and masturbating in public. The suspect is described as 30-40 years old, approximately 5-foot-8 to 6-foot tall with brown or reddish hair and a beard. The man may have recently shaved his head to appear bald. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Metro Area Crime Stoppers at 720.913.7867. You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $2,000.

3 in hospital after SUV crashes, knocks out apartment complex's power
Crews in Aurora are working to restore power to a Colorado apartment complex after a single car crash overnight.The building is called Griffis Fitzsimons South and it is located near the intersection of 4th Avenue and Sable Boulevard in Aurora.Officials with Aurora police say three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after the SUV they were in crashed into a utility box at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday.The car ended up in a retention pond after it went over a curb, struck the box and went through a gate. The vehicle was heavily damaged.An official with Xcel Energy said power could be out at the apartment complex until the late afternoon or early evening.The three who were hurt were the only people inside the car at the time of the crash. Police are investigating what led up to the crash.

The Democratic National Committee has determined that a virtual roll call vote to formally nominate President Biden as the party's nominee will happen in August, according to a letter sent Wednesday by the heads of the convention rules committee. Grease fire spreads to the attic of Denny's restaurant in Lakewood
Fire investigators determined that a grease fire started in the kitchen of a Denny's restaurant in Lakewood and spread to the attic on Tuesday morning. The fire ignited at the Denny's off Union Boulevard in Lakewood around 6:32 a.m. Dozens of firefighters worked to contain the fire. Denver firefighter sues department for unpaid overtime
A Denver firefighter is suing the department, claiming he wasn't paid for overtime worked while he was in the fire academy. Shane Walter and his attorneys allege the unpaid overtime violates the Fair Labor Standards Act.In the lawsuit, filed July 15, Walter says that while attending the 18-week fire academy for new hires, he was given a flat salary representing a 40-hour work week. But Walter says each work day typically ran from 4:30am to 3:15-4:00pm and then the trainees were required to complete chores, such as cleaning.
