Innocent driver killed as CHP pursuit ends with violent crash in Fontana 01:13

An innocent person was killed when a police chase out of Los Angeles ended in a violent crash in the Inland Empire.

California Highway Patrol officers say that they initiated the pursuit for failure to yield. He was initially pulled over for driving at a high rate of speed, but shortly after pulling over to talk with officers they took off, starting the chase.

It came to a sudden end at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Beech Avenue in Fontana, according to the Fontana Police Department. It was there that a white mini-SUV, being driven by the suspect, plowed into a red Ford Mustang.

Police tell KCAL News that at least one person was killed in the crash. They have not yet been identified.

After the crash, the suspect jumped out of their car and attempted to run on foot before they were taken into custody by CHP officers.

At around 9 p.m., CHP officers told KCAL News that the suspect somehow escaped their watch at the hospital and has not yet been located.

It's unclear if any others were injured.

Once again a police chase ends in the death of an innocent. What about backing off when it's just too dangerous? It's not like this guy would care in a school zone or high traffic area. Rest in peace, and condolences to family and friends.

Like I said before , our technology is to far advanced for this to still be a thing. I'm guessing it doesn't pay to save lives is the problem. Future generation watch out!
