Hurricane Helene disrupts travel in Florida and Southeast U.S. 02:00

MIAMI Hurricane Helene hit Florida's Gulf Coast Thursday night as a major storm, prompting airports closures and causing flight delays and cancellations across the state.

Helene , now a tropical depression, is moving through the Southeastern United States — and flights in and out of Florida airports are being impacted following landfall.

Here is the latest on Florida's airports and the number of cancellations and delays each of them were seeing Friday morning.

    Miami International Airport (MIA)

    Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)

Palm Beach International Airport remains open and operational, but according to its arrivals and departures lists on its official website, there were some delays and cancellations.

    Tampa International Airport (TPA)

Tampa International Airport said on its website Friday that it was open and operational.

"Parking garages, the Rental Car Center, and all other key passenger services have resumed," it said. "Please verify your flight information with your airline, as delays and cancellations are expected today."

TPA was experiencing 66 delays and 132 cancellations.

    St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE)

PIE was experiencing 4 cancellations and 10 delays.

    Tallahassee International Airport (TLH)
