Child treated for superficial shark bite in Key Biscayne
MIAMI - A child was treated Thursday afternoon for a superficial shark bite at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club. Key Biscayne Fire Department Rescue said a nurse shark was to blame. Images from Chopper 4 showed several adults and a few children near a rescue vehicle.Our cameras caught one child hopping around on one leg, with his left knee wrapped in wiggled gauze. CBS News Miami has learned the child was treated at the scene and did not require transport to the hospital. Nurse sharks are slow-moving bottom-dwellers and are usually not aggressive. This is the second incident involving a shark this week in our area. The first happened down in Key West on Monday. An Opa-locka man was attacked while spearfishing in that incident.

A fugitive was arrested this week in central Georgia after being on the run for nearly 30 years, authorities said. Driver lost control, killed bicyclist near Miami Gardens Drive, U.S. 441
MIAMI - A bicyclist was struck and killed in a crash early Thursday morning in Miami Gardens. It happened near the intersection of Miami Gardens Drive and U.S. 441. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they received a call about the crash at 6:15 a.m. According to Miami Gardens police, the driver of a black Nissan was heading north on NW 2nd Avenue when they lost control near NW 182nd Street. The car weaved through some trees and then it took a deadly turn."He struck a bicyclist. The bicyclist was traveling northbound on the side of the perimeter road where he was pronounced deceased," said Miami Gardens police Officer Diana Delgado. Police say the driver immediately stopped and waited for officers to arrive.When asked if alcohol or excessive speed played a role in the crash, Delgado said, "At this time, we're not looking at substance but our investigator will determine that at a later time."
